UNBOX Kidulthood, an initiative conceived by onebite SOCIAL, represents far more than just a box of mooncakes. It is a finely-crafted vessel of self-discovery, a pathway for deeper dialogues, and a keepsake filled with symbols of courage to empower young women in their exploration of the world.

At the heart of UNBOX is a set of conversation cards designed to create a safe space for you to step beyond your comfort zone and engage in a genuine dialogue with yourself and your loved ones. These cards serve as a wonderful tool for heartfelt discussions with family and friends, enabling you to uncover a friend's secret hobby or perhaps discover a mutual love for moon-gazing. You might be surprised how such simple conversations can lead to fascinating discoveries and foster deeper connections!

The questions UNBOX offers vary in difficulty. They might address both trivial and life-defining events: some could spark amusing recollections from our past; others provide opportunities to delve into your inner self. Every conversation is an invitation to probe deeper into life's significant meanings. If you are using the cards alone, they can be a powerful tool for self-discovery, echoing our tagline "Ignite your SELF again".

In celebration of the Mid-Autumn festival, UNBOX Kidulthood is accompanied by the Mooncake Duet and Greek Mountain Tea, created by A Fun Store and local store More Tea, respectively. The former comprised a pair of mooncakes in distinctive egg mustard and sesame flavours. Paired with chewy mochi, the Mooncake Duet epitomised moments of reunion and sharing. As for the organic Greek Mountain Tea, it is an ideal companion to the Mooncake Duet. Hand-picked by Greek farmers, this tea offered a remarkably soothing herbal flavour, and is rich in beneficial flavonoids - natural compounds that aid digestion and have antioxidant properties.

The conversation cards, mooncakes, and mountain tea are all housed in an appealing box sporting a wooden grain. A collaborative design by onebite and Taozi Creates, it was primarily made from walnut, featuring an oak moon on the cover. The box's design also mirrored different moon phases, and each perforation emits a gentle, diffused glow from an LED night light, setting a warm and inviting tone for a Mid-Autumn reunion with your loved ones. As you admire the many moons and delve into the cards, what thoughts might come to mind? We hope a soft smile will spread across your face, as you appreciate how introspection fosters an openness to self-care, especially amidst the ups and downs of a young woman's journey.

That's why we have partnered with “Teen’s Key Hong Kong”, a local NGO dedicated to empowering young women to realise their full potential. Proceeds from UNBOX Kidulthood not only provided financial support to Teen’s Key, but also championed the challenges and achievements of young women through our conversation cards.
